Infradebt and Impact Investment Group are pleased to announce the close of a A$16 million senior debt facility for IIG’s Brigalow Solar Farm. The project is a 34.5MWdc utility scale solar facility currently under construction near Yarranlea in Queensland. When complete, the project will deliver around 70,800 MWh of electricity or enough power for around 14,000 homes.
Quote attributable to Lane Crockett, Head of Renewable Infrastructure, Impact Investment Group:
“It’s great to have senior debt finance in place for Brigalow. Construction is now well underway, and is expected to be complete next year. Brigalow is another excellent solar asset that will complement our existing portfolio and be a key part of the IIG Solar Asset Fund.”
Quote attributable to Alexander Austin, CEO, Infradebt:
“Infradebt is pleased to finalise its part in financing Brigalow Solar Farm, we have worked closely with IIG over the past six months to provide a highly customised facility that complements the unique attributes of the project. We look forward to working with IIG in the future and assisting them with their future development pipeline.
2018 has been a busy year for Infradebt. This transaction marks the tenth investment for the Infradebt Ethical Fund since its first close in September 2017. We are pleased to have executed on IEF’s strategy over the year and assembled a diverse portfolio for IEF. The portfolio is well positioned – with attractive returns and well diversified by project, technology and offtake.”
